The capital of the Hallertau – and of industry in the south of the Kelheim district
Mainburg is about more than hops: in the south of the town, the region's large employers sit close together – the heating and heat pump manufacturer Wolf with around 2,000 employees, the shoe manufacturer HAIX, the electrical engineering firm Bachner Gruppe and the hop merchants Hopsteiner and BarthHaas. Installation, service and maintenance teams working here drive from Casa Theresa along the B301 straight to the industrial estate, without going through the town centre.
Since January 2026, Wolf has also had a training centre in Mainburg, the new WOLF Campus. If you run a plumbing and heating business and travel in with several people for a multi-day training course, you all stay together in one apartment with us – with a kitchen instead of a hotel breakfast.
Current construction sites around Mainburg
Right between us and Au, Bayernwerk Netz is expanding the Au substation at a cost of around 27 million euros – with a new operations building, new switchgear and additional transformers. Construction work began in summer 2026 and is expected to last until 2029. It is about 6 km from Casa Theresa.
In Mainburg itself, the town is planning a new primary and special needs school in Sandelzhausen as a timber building with a sports hall; according to current plans, the earthworks are scheduled to start in spring 2027, with a construction period given as three to four years. A large data centre is under discussion in the Mitterleite commercial estate near Wambach – but whether and when it will be built is still open.
Getting there from Casa Theresa
From Berg you drive north on the FS 42 district road and onto the B301 towards Mainburg. After about 8 km you reach the southern edge of the town, where most of the companies are located. The B301 continues to the A93 – handy if your team needs to get to Regensburg or head towards Munich in between.
Mainburg has a wide choice of contractor accommodation, but mostly individual rooms in guesthouses or private homes. With us, your crew gets a whole apartment: a bed each, a shared kitchen, your own washing machine, and the company vehicle parked right outside the house.

How far is it from Casa Theresa to Mainburg?
About 10 km. The industrial estate in the south of the town (Wolf, HAIX, Hopsteiner, BarthHaas) is around 8 to 9 km away, or 10 minutes via the B301.
We're coming for a training course at the WOLF Campus – is that possible for just a few nights?
Yes. There is no minimum stay, even one night is possible. Final cleaning, bed linen and towels are always included.
Do my employees have to register with the authorities in Mainburg?
No – the responsible authority would be the municipality of Rudelzhausen, where the accommodation is located. Anyone already registered in Germany only has to re-register after more than six months (Section 27 of the German Federal Registration Act, Bundesmeldegesetz). We will provide the required landlord confirmation (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung) if needed.
Can two teams stay at the same time?
Yes. Apartment 1 has 5 beds, Apartment 2 has 7 beds. Each team gets its own apartment – together there is room for 12 people.
