Turnaround season at Bayernoil
The Bayernoil refinery shuts down its plants in Vohburg and Neustadt an der Donau at regular intervals for overhauls – usually in spring. During the turnaround in Vohburg in March 2025, around 2,000 additional workers from partner companies were on site; during the turnaround in Neustadt in 2023 it was around 3,000. In weeks like these, accommodation along the Danube is booked up quickly.
Casa Theresa is a little further south, but quiet and with complete apartments for a whole crew: 5 or 7 single beds, own kitchen, washing machine for work clothes and parking spaces for the company vehicles. If you are planning a turnaround, feel free to enquire early.
Manching, Münchsmünster and the Geisenfeld business parks
In Manching, Airbus Defence and Space builds the Eurofighter; delivery of Tranche 4 runs until 2030, and right next to the plant the ground-breaking ceremony for the Manching technology park was held in April 2026, with site development due to take until 2027. Via Wolnzach, the A93 and the A9 you can get there from us in around 25 minutes.
Audi manufactures in the Münchsmünster industrial park, and further companies are based in the Ilmendorf business park on the B16 and in the Rottenegg business park. In Geisenfeld itself, the new Realschule with a triple sports hall is being built by summer 2027, and the broadband roll-out continues.
Getting there without city traffic
From Berg you drive to Geisenfeld on country roads. For Manching, the route via the A93 and A9 is usually faster. You don't have to drive through Ingolstadt for any of these destinations – a real advantage in the morning.

Around 30 km, about 23 minutes according to the route planner via the A93 and the A9. Allow a little more during rush hour.

Yes, if apartments are available – the calendar on this page shows the free nights. For shutdowns in spring we recommend enquiring as early as possible.
We work shifts – is that a problem?
No. Each team has its own apartment, so nobody is disturbed by other guests. We arrange arrival and departure individually.
What does the accommodation cost for 7 people?
€25 per person per night net (€26.75 gross), i.e. €175 net per night for the whole apartment with 7 beds. Final cleaning, bed linen and towels are included.
